CM Firestop, Inc. (CMFI) was founded in San Diego, California on March 2nd 2000 by Michael Moore and Chris Winkler. Initially, CMFI started as a company solely focused on commercial firestopping, the application of specialized assemblies designed to contain smoke and flames to preserve lives and minimize damage in the event of a fire.

CM Firestop, Inc. quickly earned a reputation as a leader in providing Specialty Contracting Services throughout Southern California. We are focused on providing our customers with the right solutions and highest quality workmanship on all projects. Chris and Mike’s 25+ years friend ship and shared philosophy of personal contribution to the team effort created the strong core on which CMFI is based.
